Alexander Nazarenko was born in the village of Vijtivtsy in the Vinnitsa region of Ukraine in 1926. He was a well-known Ukrainian genre and landscape painter, was active in Vinnitsa, and from 1962 regularly exhibited in the republican and from 1977 in the all-union exhibitions. Works by him are displayed in various Ukrainian museums.
