Carl von Dombrowski (1872-1951) "Fox with its kill", watercolor, 1920/30s 650 EUR - 25% DISCOUNT = 487,50 EUR Baron Carl von Dombrowski was born in 1872 in Castle Ulitz, Bohemia (now Czech Republic), and died in 1951 in Munich. In 1888-1892 he studied at the Vienna Academy under Griepenkerl, thereafter - at the Munich Academy. In 1911 and 1913 he summered at the famous artist colony in Dachau by Munich. From 1919 Dombrowski lived permanently in Munich. He was especially known as animalist painter, illustrator and writer. Our additional image shows another watercolor by this artist, sold at 1995 art auction for US$ 2400.
