"Farewell" - signed with Dürer's monogramm and dated 1928, it is a typical "spiritual" drawing of the Viennese female artist from 1920/30s - Nina Karasek.
A devout spiritist, she used to call spirit of a given deseased artist (in our case, of the great Albrecht Dürer) and make drawings as if led by his or her hand.
Nina Karasek (pseudonym Joele) was a well-known Austrian female artist who lived in Vienna during the first half of the 20th century. She studied at the Vienna Frauenakademie and in Munich. In the 1930s she was known as landscape painter and illustrator as well as a symbolist with spiritual mystical subjects.
