Alfred William Strutt (1856 Tanaraki, New Zealand - 1924 Sussex, UK) was a well-known British animal, landscape, genre and portrait painter who worked in oil, watercolor and pastel. He was also an etcher. Born in New Zealand, he spent his early years in Australia. Strutt received tuition to study art from his father, William Strutt R.B.A., as well as one from Kensington.
Alfred William Strutt exhibited at the London Royal Academy from 1877 (sic!) and was elected A.R.E. in 1889. Many of his paintings were engraved.
