Henri Bonaventure Monnier (1805 Paris - 1877 Paris) was a very well-known French graphic and lithograph artist and cartoonist, writer and actor. He studied under Girodet and Gros, lived in London in 1826-1830, was strongly influenced by Cruikshank. Monnier also collaborated with various satirical magazines.
