Karl (Charles) Bechon was born ca 1732 supposedly in France, in the last reign years of King August III went from Dresden to Warsaw. From 1750 he worked for Warsaw court and taught drawing and miniature painting. The famous expert Lemberger considered Bechon one of the best miniaturists of his epoch. Another Expert, Schidlof, emphasizes the influence of Franz Xaver Lampi (son of J.B.Lampi, worked in Warsaw for a long time) and Josef Grassi on Bechon's oeuvre.
