Alfred Waagner (1886-1960) "Heitere Stunden", watercolor, 1910s 1700 EUR *Framed measurements will be provided upon request. Alfred Waagner (1886 Vienna - 1960 Vienna) was a very well known Austrian painter, illustrator and Art and Crafts artist. From 1905 to 1907 he studied chemistry and mechanical engineering at the Technical Institute, but soon turned to the arts. In 1907, he became a pupil of the famous Viennese Art Nouveau artist, Professor Berthold Loeffler and worked in his studio at the Vienna School of Applied Arts until 1912. He debuted as exponent in 1913 at the Vienna Secession and regularly exhibited with its (and other) artists' groups in Vienna and abroad.
