Portrait of a Russian gentleman with neck crosses of the Order of St. Anna of 2nd class and the Order of St.Stanislaus of 2nd class; besides these two badges, he bears on the chest ribbon of St.Stanislaus of 3rd class; all together pointing at his high social standing: he was certainly a clerk of the 4th or even 3rd class of the Russian hierarchy of officials.
And in reality: as shows our image nr.6 we are dealing with a portrait of Fedor Lukich Biletov, senior councillor of Kazan State Chamber of Russian Ministry of Finance. His last rank before the retirement was one of collegial councillor. He was born probably in 1793 and died in 1859 in Kazan; buried at the orthodox cemetery ibidem. He was married to Irina Alexeevna Ishitskaya (in first marriage Dyakova). Our portrait was made some earlier as his portrait by R. I. Stupin in Moscow Museum of A. S. Pushkin (image #6) - on the latter he bears already the breast cross of the Order of St.Vladimir of 4th class (absent on our portrait).
