Not in the best condition (nevertheless not a big problem for a good restorer), this round miniature on ivory with a portrait of a wearing a fourrier hat young soldier of Paris Volunteers (period of the French Revolutionary Wars; probably from Paris 1st Volunteers Battalion - CLICK HERE) is one of the earliest known works of well-known Parisian miniaturist Louis Favrin.
