This large watercolor portrait of a young high-aristocratic lady standing at the portal of her majestic residence in Austrian alpine resort Bad Ischl is an original work of well-known Vienna artist of 19th century Michael Stohl.
Michael Stohl ( 1813 Vienna-1881 ibidem) is a very well-known Austrian watercolorist who worked in Vienna and St.Petersburg during the 19th century. In Russia he was appointed court painter, comissioned by the Tsar and made over 800 copies of old master paintings.
Condition: In good overall condition, a few professionally restored minor tears on edges and a minor loss on lower left edge, framed.
